In addition to our regular offerings, head chef Pete Goodridge curates an array of exciting daily specials that highlight the best of the season. Pete’s ever-changing specials showcase his creativity and commitment to using the freshest ingredients, ensuring that every visit offers something new and delicious to try. There’s always something fresh and delightful waiting for you at The King’s Head.

Breakfast is available Friday to Sunday from 8am to 10am, featuring a delightful buffet with cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, fruit salad, avocado, juices, pastries, toast, tea/coffee, and a cooked breakfast of your choice, all for just £16.95 (under 12’s £7.50) Bean to cup barista coffee available at an additional cost. Meet the Chef

Our head chef Peter Goodridge Reynolds started his career with Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir for 3 1/2 years. He spent several more years working across Europe and in other Michelin star establishments. He joined us after a very successful 5 1/2 year spell at the Horse & Groom in Woodgreen.

Indulge in an Unforgettable Tasting Experience 

THURSDAY OCTOBER 17TH | 7PM

Join us on October 17th for an exclusive tasting menu at £95 per person. The evening begins at 7:00 pm with a glass of fizz on arrival, followed by a 7:30 pm sit-down to start your culinary journey. A flight of perfectly paired wines will also be available to enhance your experience. With only 28 seats available and half already booked, this is an event not to be missed.

 

Begin with the Taste of Thailand—a light prawn cracker topped with cucumber, lime, and coriander gel, balanced by coconut, mango, and red onion.

 

Next, enjoy the Edible Vegetable Garden, featuring roasted nut soil, pickled beetroot, confit carrots, wild mushrooms, and a smooth cauliflower purée.

 

Refresh your palate with a Yuzu and Mint Granita, served with fresh raspberries.

 

The main course, Roasted Loin of Venison, is accompanied by celeriac dauphinoise, beetroot puree, and braised carrots, finished with a rich chocolate venison jus.

 

For dessert, delight in the Nougat Glacé with dried fruits and cherries, followed by a decadent Baileys Chocolate Ganache, rolled in coconut.
