New Year, New Direction at The Kings Head

With a rich heritage dating back to the 16th Century, The Kings Head at Whiteparish enters the latest phase in its development this week with the launch of a brand new menu curated by Chef Patron Matt Tomkinson.

Our Menus

Previously only available within The Kings Heads’ exclusive, 20-cover Betony restaurant, Matt’s modern British cuisine can now be enjoyed throughout the establishment, alongside pub favourites that have been elevated to the highest standards using the freshest local ingredients.

The combined menu includes several innovative new dishes, each designed to showcase the abundance of fine seasonal produce that can be found within and around the historic village of Whiteparish.

Matt’s menu, which has already earned 2 AA rosettes and features in both The Times’ 40 Best UK Summer Pubs and the 2020 edition of The Good Food Guide, will be available from Thursday 23 January. Prices start at £13 for pub favourite main courses; a surprise tasting menu of 4, 6 and 8 courses are available from £40

For January and February, we are open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, as well as Sunday lunch. From March we will be open all day for food.

The Kings Head also boasts eight elegant and contemporary 4* AA bedrooms. These include family accommodation and two luxury suites, with bed and breakfast rates starting at £90 per night.
